2025-2026 CTNEAL Scholarship Opportunities

CTNEAL Scholarship (General) $500

Rebecca Brannan Scholarship $500, Sponsored by John Mark Brannan

Beth Whitaker Scholarship $500-$1000 to a Business Major Postgraduate and an undergraduate

Beth Whitaker Scholarship $500-$1000 to an Engineering Major and/or technical undergraduate or postgraduate

1. Must be enrolled in the Cherokee Tribe of Northeast Alabama for a minimum of three (3) years AND
2. Must be current in all applicable taxes and fees.
3. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0. The unofficial transcript must be included.
4. Must be an Alabama resident or an out of state citizen1 in good standing of the Cherokee Tribe of Northeast Alabama. 
5. Must attach proof of acceptance or current enrollment from the school you plan to attend (school must be located in the State of Alabama unless the courses needed are not offered in Alabama).
6. Must attach an essay (at least 250 words but not to exceed 500 words). The subject of the 2025 essay must be “How has the Cherokee Tribe of Northeast Alabama had an impact on your views of society's treatment towards Native Americans?” This essay will be used only in case of a tie.

Award notices will be sent to the recipients by May 30, 2025 . Scholarships will be presented accordingly.
